Bridget Faulkner: Okinawa Birth Support
I am a mother and I am inspired by mothers, every single day and consider it an honor to serve them and their families on this beautiful Island. As a Birth Doula I provide continuous informational, emotional and physical support and hold space for growing families during this special time of their lives.
As a birth Doula my goal is to help educate the public about the many wonderful resources available here and to connect families to birth workers in Okinawa. I strive to educate, encourage and empower parents as they journey through pregnancy, birth and beyond.
A doula is a birth support professional who provides continuous physical, emotional and informational to the parents before, during and just after Childbirth.
This can be an invaluable service in Okinawa when you may find yourself far away from your existing support network.
Some of the practical services we can offer is to provide information on your birthing options in Okinawa such as on/off base choices as well as provide reassurance and perspective to you your partner during this transformational time.
Over the last few years Bridget has helped over 50 families in Okinawa complete their births with confidence, excitement and joy.
The next ” Birth with confidence ” workshop for expecting, conceiving or curious parents to learn about birthing options in Okinawa, create your birth plan, understand the process of labour and gain confidence in techniques for the comfort of birth will be running at 4pm Sunday the 15th October.
Cost: 60 Us dollars for participants and you can bring one support partner at no additional charges.
