What do you think are the best skills that you bring to your job?
I enjoy taking a collaborative approach, working alongside clients to understand their goals and tailor treatment to their needs.
I believe education and understanding of the body is such an important part of recovering from an injury. I enjoy simplifying the rehabilitation process to help patients understand their injuries and feel confident in their recovery, empowering them to return to the activities they enjoy.
Your most-outstanding achievement:
Climbing Kala Patthar and completing the Everest Base Camp and Gokyo Lakes trek in Nepal.
Favourite Conditions to Treat:
– Acute low back injuries
– Neck injuries
– Lower limb injuries (hip, knee, ankle)
Being a keen soccer (football) player back and avid sports fan (Australian Football – AFL) back home in Australia, Brigid also has an interest in sport-related injuries and return to sport rehabilitation.
What are you happiest doing when you’re not working?
An ideal day off for me includes a relaxed morning with a good book, spending time outdoors, trying out a new restaurant, and watching the Melbourne Demons get a win!
What would be your personal motto?
“If it is to be, it is up to me”
Who is someone you admire and why?
Neale Daniher, an Australian Football legend. He is the embodiment of resilience and selflessness. Despite facing incredible adversity, he continues to see life as an opportunity, living with courage and humour while dedicating his life to fighting Motor neurone disease.
